The first program of its kind in the Southeast Region is an in depth course on Culture Change in Long Term Care. This innovative approach to skilled nursing care is for current Certified Nursing Assistants to develop skills necessary to manage a Household or Universal Care Facility.
 
This training will equip you to provide the most advanced comprehensive elder care and enable you to work in long term care, residential care, home care and hospice. Students will learn about Culture Change, how to safely handle and prepare food, and housekeeping skills. This course also includes of review of Nurse Aide skills and includes a Certificate in ServSafe: Employee Food Safety Training.
 
 
Greenville Technical College has developed the South Carolina state model for this training, and it is approved by the Department of Health & Human Services.
 
Employment Opportunities: Long-term care facilities residential care, private duty nursing, home health and home care.
 
PREREQUISITE: Must be a current Certified Nursing Assistant.
 
Mandatory fee for manual of $20 added to registration fee. Manual will be handed out first night of class.
